BZZZZZ

The other day I decided to go lay out and relax with a book while Keaton was taking a nap. Flys, jumping bugs, and any other type of insect were swarming around making sure that relaxation was impossible to reach. Then I swatted a "fly" off my leg and when it started to sting, I jumped up screaming inside! A yellow jacket had stung me!! First it looked like this...





just a small swollen spot. I put some ice on it and later went to sleep thinking it was no big deal. When I woke up it was about as big as a baseball and itched like crazy! Still no big deal...but as the day went on it turned into a softball and then as big as my head! I think I can add yellow jackets to my list of allergies! =)

The pictures dont even do it justice but you can see on the right of this pic how it is swollen and all that redness was puffed up!

This next picture is from underneath my leg. (you can see the stripes on my skin from my chair!) =) See how it was bulging out!

I saw some more buzzing around so Kyle went and bought this and even though you really can't see it in the pic, we've already caught about 30-40 of them!! Revenge! =)

Not A Baby Anymore

Well Keaton is definatley not the little baby that I brought with me to Colorado in March! He is turning into such a little boy and blows me away everyday with something new that he's doing! He's running, starting to talk (he still has babble conversations like he knows exactly what he's saying!), he climbs all over his playground, plays chase with me, gives hugs, blows kisses, he's just so much fun! Today we went on a "hike" around our house and he picked up tons of sticks, pinecones, and rocks to throw! He would stay outside all day if I let him!

Yes he's wearing a windbreaker and diaper...who needs pants?

After his nap we went down to the river for a little swim. Of course he picked up rocks there too and thought it was so cool when you throw them in the water and hear that "thoomp" noise and see it splash!

End of the day and he's ready for his bath! =)

First Blog!!

Okay so I've had some requests to start a blog since we moved so I'm finally giving in! I'm new at this so once I figure out how to get a cute background and stuff I will be updating it! Things here in Colorado are great! I really miss Texas but I'm so glad we made the decision to come here!

Kyle's parents just came to visit us the last couple of days and we had a great time!

We went on the train ride from Durango to Silverton and saw some amazing views!

Once we got to Silverton we got arrested and put in jail... just kidding!! But we did get to walk through their town jail from 1883! Doc Holiday used to gamble in Silverton so I like to think he walked through that same jail a time or two! =)

We also went to Mesa Verde and toured Cliff Palace which is an old indian community from 800 years ago!

It was so great to have them here! We had a great time...I miss them already!! =(

Oh! We also gave Keaton his first buzz cut so now his hairdo matches his Daddy!

He hated the cut but in the end he looked so handsome! =) Hope everyone is doing well!
