It's All In Gods Hands

This weekend was an emotional roller coaster for us. On Saturday morning I started to bleed and of course was scared to death. We went in for an ultrasound and saw the beautiful flicker of our babies heartbeat. We left feeling alot more positive about the situation and figured everything would be ok. Then after being home for about an hour I started bleeding more and it continued as the weekend went on. Our emotions were all over the place, from trying to just think positive and that everything was going to be fine, then to crying and crying and realizing that it probably wasn't. We went in again today for another ultrasound and sadly our little angel wasn't there anymore. We are just devastated but know that it's all in Gods hands and he knows what he's doing. Please keep us in your prayers right now.

My little one
You have left us too soon
Though my body can no longer hold you
I hold you forever in my heart
I love you!

Positive? Positive!!!!

When Kyle and I had Keaton we always said we wanted to start trying for baby #2 once Keaton turned 1 (which was this past March) that way once #2 was born they would be about 2 years apart. Then we moved to Colorado and decided that we wanted to really make the most of our time here and instead we'd enjoy a whole summer and winter here and then start trying once Keaton turned 2 this coming March. Well apparently God liked our first plan because I'M PREGNANT!!!!! I'm due the first week in May so that's about a month and 1/2 after Keatons 2nd bday!

We weren't planning on it at all but we couldn't be more pleased!! I took a test on Sunday of Labor Day weekend but I just knew the result would be negative. When I looked and saw a really faint plus sign I was in shock! I ran out to the garage where Kyle was working and once I said his name he turned to look at me and saw me holding the stick and said, "Haha, yeah right!" I said, "No seriously, look!" He saw it and we both had perma-smile! The next day I took another one and that plus sign got a little darker!! I went to the doctor for a blood test on Tuesday and they called me yesterday to say the sticks were right!! I can't believe it!! My first real appointment and ultrasound aren't until October 9th! =( When I had my ultrasound with Keaton I was only 5 or 6 weeks so he was just a little dot but with this baby I'll be about 10 weeks so we'll actually see arms and legs! I'm sure it will look more like an adorable alien than a baby but I can't wait to see it!!!

Keaton of course doesn't know what's going on but if I ask him if he wants a little brother he shakes his head no with a smile, and then I ask about a little sister and he shakes his head no again. It's so funny, he just doesn't have a clue! He'll make a great big brother!

Here's the first belly pic...let's watch it grow, and grow, and grow, and grow....!!

Vroom Vroom!!

Keaton is obsessed with any motorized vehicles! Cars, trucks, four-wheelers, motorcycles, tractors, even golf carts. You name it, he loves it!! He always wants us to take him outside and let him sit in the drivers seat and pretend drive or go in the garage and get on the four wheeler. It's so cute! The funniest thing was when I took him with me to pick up our four wheeler from the Honda place and right when I got him out of the car he started kicking excitedly and pointing all around him at the four wheelers and motorcycles. He kept screaming loudly, "vroom, vroom". Everyone was laughing and thought it was so cute! He was like a kid in a candy store! He also points and says, "vroom, vroom", to any car he sees on TV or in a book we're reading to him. As you can see, this "hobby" has been going on a while...

Needless to say, his favorite movie is Cars! DeeDee and Snow sent him a shirt with Lighting McQueen on it and he just loves it!

Another gift came last week...Mawmaw and Pop bought him a Cozy Coupe and of course we can hardly get him out of it! (the one in the picture above was his friend, Aidan's)

You can tell he was thrilled! I might have a future race car driver on my hands!!

Molas Lake

This weekend we drove to Molas Lake for some camping. We haven't had the best luck the last couple of times we took our trailer out but this weekend was a success!! Molas Lake was gorgeous! It sits at an elevation of 10,680 feet, it is the highest campground in the United States. The temperature was about 40 at night and then around 60 during the day.

Right when you stepped out of our trailer we were greeted with these beautiful views!

On Saturday we left for a wonderful hike! It was a good workout with even more gorgeous views! It took us from the lake we were camping at down to the river by the railroad and then we turned around and came back up. It took us about 4 1/2 hours from start to finish.

Even though Keaton couldn't make it through the whole hike...

he had a blast and was one happy camper!
