Trip to K-Town

What a fun trip home!! Keaton and I left last Wed at 4:30 AM and it was 28 degrees!! Brrrrr!! We also had a big buck greet us in the driveway as we loaded the car which was really freaky in the dark! Kyle met us in Houston from Oklahoma (he was there for work) and we just had a great time! We had dinner with the fam that night at Victors and it was so great to see everyone and taste that delicious Mexican food!!! Then Thursday the wedding whirlwind started and I don't think I sat down until it was over on Sat. We had Kendall's Bachelorette party that night at Lupe Tortillas (more great Mexican food!) and then we went out to Mos.

Friday I spent the entire day working on a slide show for her rehearsal dinner which I thought would take an hour but of course it took about 8!! Anything that could go wrong did but luckily I have a wonderful husband that helped me and in the end everyone loved the slide show! Their rehearsal dinner at Landry's was fun and then we went to Bakers St. I'm so not used to all this going out so I was exhausted!!
Saturday was the wedding and it was just beautiful! She was a gorgeous bride and I was so happy to see her and her new husband, Alex, so excited and in love!
During all my wedding stuff, Keaton was getting spoiled by his Grandmas, Mawmaw and DeeDee! They went to Chuck-E-Cheese, Pump It Up, and the Zoo! (I dont have those pics yet) He had a great time! The wedding was over at about 4 and then my mom had her annual Halloween party for all her grand kids. She never disappoints and went all out!
Keaton actually wore the head to his costume for part of the time!! The kids all looked adorable!

It was just so great to see all our amazing friends and spend time with our family! We had such a great time and then flew back on Sunday! Needless to say I'm exhausted! I've had a horrible cough and runny nose throughout all of this too! I'm so sick of it, I've been through about 4 boxes of Kleenex! It's good to be back "home" but we miss Texas! =) See yall again in about 2 1/2 weeks when we come home for Thanksgiving!

Lil' Reader

Keaton LOVES to read books! He will pick out a book and bring it to me or Kyle and plop down in our lap ready for the story! If all his books are out he'll bring one after another! His favorite is Brown Bear, Brown Bear which can really drive you crazy when read repeatedly! =) But, I love our reading time together! He now knows his animals! I can do them in any order and he'll point to the right one. I'm a proud momma! =)

Pumpkin Patch

Today was a perfect day! We went to the train station and rode the train about 30 min. to the Charlie Brown Pumpkin Patch! They had so much for the kids to do and all 3 of us had a blast together! The weather was absolutely gorgeous too!

First we went on a hay ride...

Then Keaton jumped in the moon walk and probably would have been happy just jumping all day!

Next we went to the coloring booth...

and then Keaton's other favorite, the hay-maze and pumpkin patch!

The train ride home was a quiet one!!

Oh and you probably noticed he also got a Frankenstein tattoo! So much fun! We had such a great time! Days like this you remember forever! =)

My Entertainment

It's so true that once you have kids they become your entertainment and you wonder what you ever did without them! From the day they're born you could just stare at them for hours and never get bored! Now I could just sit and watch Keaton play all day! It's amazing to see him staring at things and learning what they're called or what they do. He's at such a great age!

Oh and I took him to the park and once we got home I changed his diaper to find this...

A diaper full of gravel!

Don't go crazy, it didn't come out of him, it just found a way into his pants! =)

I just thought that was funny!

Our Weekend

Well I hope everyone is having a great weekend! It has been about 45 degrees and raining here! We got to have our first fire of the season last night! The weekend started off in a strange way on Friday when my son, I mean husband, hurt himself playing paint ball!! He fell on a rock and didn't think much of it until he got back to the office (yes the office played on their lunch break) and lifted up his jeans. He could see meat and his bone!! YUCK!! So he went to the ER and got stitches. Pics don't do it justice but this next pic you can kinda see how deep it was!

It hurt bad Friday and he didn't get much sleep but he's doing much better! He goes back tomorrow to make sure there's no infections.

Now onto my real son, Mr. Keaton! He is just so funny to watch and just cracks us up! Here's a couple of cute videos! The first one is just a short one of him saying bye, he loves saying that and it sounds so cute!

Next he shows that he knows all his body parts! =) Yes even that one! He's know them for a while but this is the first time he did them all at once for the camera!

Then last night Kyle and I were watching TV and Keaton kept bringing in spices from the kitchen and was starting his own little collection on the coffee table. It's cuter than it sounds =)...enjoy!

So as I'm typing this Kyle is sitting behind me sharpening his hunting knives. I hear him yell, "ouch!" and look back and he had dropped the knife he was sharpening and it stabbed him in his already hurt leg! There was a blood line on the knife so he put his finger on it so you can see how deep it went in him.

Gosh, lots of blood in this post. I've gotta keep my eye on this boy!! I'm off to buy some butterfly band aids! =)

Thank You!

Well I figured I better post an update to let everyone know that we are doing SO much better! Thank you so much to everyone for all your emails, phone calls, thoughts and most importantly prayers! They definitely lifted us up and helped us pull through this! We are so blessed and thank God everyday for surrounding us with such amazing family and friends...THANK YOU!!!
I think the weekend and then Monday when we first found out were for sure the hardest days. Finding out was hard but it also brought some peace just knowing the truth and not wondering anymore! So after we knew what had happened we shed our tears but didn't have to really worry anymore. Each day after got easier and easier and I know it's because of all the prayers!

It's weird to go from being pregnant one week to not being the next. I used to wake up and think about what I was going to eat for breakfast that would be healthy for baby and not drinking the Crystal Light in the fridge because of artificial sweetener or not drinking alcohol. You get used to that routine and then I'd have to remind myself, oh yeah, I don't have to think about those things anymore. Then 2 days ago I received a package from Old Navy with some maternity clothes that I had ordered. Yeah I did sigh but I also smiled because I love them and I know I will get to wear them soon enough! See, I told you I was doing alot better! No tears!

How can I not feel blessed when I have Mr. Keaton with me everyday!! =) If anything, this experience has made me appreciate him even more if that were possible! He is just the joy of our life!

Dee Dee and Snow sent him the great Halloween shirt that lights up and he just loves it!

We also tried his Halloween costume on and he doesn't like it too much!

Get this off mom!!!!!

So embarrassing!

Oh well, what can you do! =) He'll be a headless (and probably claw less) dragon!
