We Shall Call You...

OK so I'm pretty sure we've got our names set for the new baby! We've actually always had our girl name set, although I did flirt with the idea of Kinley for a little bit after I heard it on Greys Anatomy once, but we just couldn't imagine not naming our little girl the one name we've had picked out since we were in college. So without further ado, if we have a baby girl her name will be

Kambrey Lynn

Lynn is after Kyle's Pawpaw, Audice Lynn, and his mom, Debbie Lynn. It just so happens my sister is Carrie Lynn so I love that it's a family name from both of our families!

Now the boy name was a little harder! First we couldn't decide if we wanted to stick with the letter K or not and in the end we decided to not because there was few K names we agreed on. Actually there was only one...Kolby. I also liked Karter but Kyle didn't like spelling that with a K. He thought it was trying to hard for all K's or would be something you'd do if you were going to name a girl Carter. I couldn't argue with him there because I had actually mentioned that I thought it was cute for a girl. So anyway, we then ventured out and thought of names that start with other letters and our top 4 names were: Kolby, Carter, Jackson, or Grady. My mind changed daily and I really wasn't sure at all! I kept asking Keaton for fun which name he liked but of course he gave me nothin', that is until last weekend! Memorial Day weekend we were talking about how we didn't have a boy name yet and I looked at Keaton and said, "Keaton what should we name your little brother?" and he goes, "Ummmm" PAUSED and then said, "Cart-er". It was the cutest thing and I was shocked! It wasn't like I had just told him the names again, he just said it! Kyle and I both decided that it was just too cute to pass up and what a great story to tell Carter (if it's a boy!) one day!! So there you have it, if it's a boy the name will be

Carter Ray

Ray is after my daddy, Gary Ray, so I couldn't be more proud to pass that name along! =)

This wasn't the original "naming of the baby moment" but just as cute!

Memorial Day Weekend

First of all I hope everyone took a moment to give thanks go the men and women who have given their lives for our country and those that have fought or are currently fighting for America. Thank you so much, we appreciate you more than you know!!

This weekend was a blast! We left Friday for Port Isabel and had a wonderful time together! The three of us went with Kyles parents, DeeDee and Snow, and then our friends Jason and Leroy. The boys main objective was fishing and us girls were on a mission to start our summer tans! =) Saturday while the boys were fishing DeeDee and I took Keaton to the beach. Keaton wasn't too fond of the sand and walked with his toes pointed to the sky. If I poured wet sand on his feet or anything he would start rubbing his feet on my legs to get it off, hehe, it was funny! He also didn't like the seagulls much. I spilt some goldfish and 4 seagulls landed and started coming closer and he wouldn't take his eyes off them and would yell, "Mom-meee, BIRDS!!!" and run to me. He did love the waves though and we got our exercise by walking into the ocean to fill up his bucket with water then back to the shore to pour it out (repeated a thousand times)! =) The boys all limited out on fish so they had a great day too!
My poor baby really needs a haircut!! =)

DeeDee and Keaton filling up the bucket with water! =)

Saturday the boys fished again and this time we headed to the beach side pool instead of the actually beach. I love the beach, I do, but when you have food with a toddler, cameras, and bags of stuff the sand can get really old! Keaton loved the pool and lots of other kids were in and out so he had little friends to play with.

I think his all time favorite thing to do all weekend was sit and pretend to drive the boat. I sat in that boat all morning before we would leave while he drove and drove! He is also obsessed with his life jacket and his new mini-chair DeeDee and Snow bought him! Last year he HATED his life jacket because it was so high on his neck and uncomfortable. I picked this one out and he loves it so anyone looking for one for your kiddo, this one from Academy is fantastic! =) I hope yall had a great weekend too!!

Lovin' his jacket and chair!!

21 Weeks 5 Days...

Today we had our doctor appointment and an ultrasound!! I'm always so excited for our appointments and then when you have an ultrasound along with it, it's just the icing on the cake!! Everything looked perfect! The baby is doing great and looked just adorable on that screen! It was playing with its hands and sticking out its tongue! It's just too cute!! The tech said everything looked beautiful and afterwards I said again, "Well I still don't want to know the sex but do you know?" and she happily said, "OF COURSE I DO!!!" and started laughing. =) It's weird to watch my baby on the screen and know that I could know what it is right then and there but we are sticking to our guns and we really don't want to know! It is going to be soooo exciting!! I can't wait! =)
Looking straight at baby's face...
(its hand is up by its face too)

Profile and perfect spine! =)

So cute, I just want to kiss it!!

CF, Invisalign, and DH!

The Great Strides walk for CF on Saturday was so much fun!! Our team almost reached our goal of $10,000 and as a whole Houston raised about $775,000!!!! Way to go Houston!! It felt so great to be apart of something so amazing!! Friday night our team had pizza and beer over at Cara's dads house and it was a lot of fun! Her dad said a thank you speech to all of us for helping Cara and the rest of the CF people by raising money and of course many of us were in tears! He talked about how when she was diagnosed at 1 they told him she probably wouldn't live to be 5. Then when she was about 5 they said, "Guess what, people are raising money for research and we're coming a long way, she might live to be 15!". When she was 10 they were informed that the actual gene for CF had been found so that left even more hope! Now Cara is 27 and it's all because of research that has been funded by people like you and me that help out. I'm so thankful!

Unfortunately I forgot my camera so I didn't get to take any pictures! =( I know Cara and tons of other people took some though so please send them my way and I'll post some soon! I really enjoyed seeing everyone and meeting all the other people that I had only met through blogland, it was so nice to meet yall!! Cara Corps also won the t-shirt contest thanks to Cara and all her hard work. I think she made about 20 shirts! Our team did awesome and I can't wait until next year. I was soooo close to my $1000 goal but I really am pleased with how much I raised, it was the most I've ever raised and I know next year I'll reach $1000!! Thanks so much to all of you that supported me and this cause! It means more to me than you know!!

In other news I got Invisalign last Thursday and I am so excited!! My teeth have been moving closer and closer together over the years so we finally got them some help! I can't wait to have completely straight teeth! I put the first set of trays in on Thursday and they were so tight and really hard to take on and off. My teeth have already moved enough that I can just snap the trays right back into place after I take them out...so exciting!!!! I wear the trays for 2 weeks at a time and every 6 weeks I go back to the doctor to get 3 more sets of trays. I highly recommend it to anyone who is thinking about it. I love it so far but I know I'm not much of a recommendation considering it's only been 6 days! =) Kyle has been making fun of the way I talk with them on but I'm getting used to it so I don't have as much of a lisp anymore!

Lastly I must say that I loved the Desperate Housewives finale!! I just watched it today and thought it was fantastic! I'm not so sure I like what's going on with Bree but I just love what happened to Lynette and the whole MJ, Susan, and Mike scenario was fabulous, didn't you think!?!? I was in tears at the end and now I can't wait until next season. I really hope that was Susan at the wedding!!! Ahhh, I just loved it!

How Could I Forget??

I can't believe I forgot to mention one of the best things that happened this Mothers Day Weekend!! On Saturday after the boys got back from the deer-lease Kyle and I were laying in bed and he had his hand on my belly and the baby barely kicked him. His eyes lite up and he looked at me and said excitedly, "Was that it?". I was cracking up and told him yes. He kept his hand there and we were silent (besides the occasional snickering because we were both so excited) and then the baby kicked even harder again, and again, and again! It was so neat and I just love being able to share with Kyle something so exciting that I've had the opportunity to feel for weeks! Pregnancy is just so amazing and such a miracle! I really can't believe I have another person inside me that I will love just as much as I love Keaton, that just seems impossible! =)

Mothers Day Weekend

This weekend was amazing! Nothing like some much needed time to myself! Friday was Kyle's Friday off but he decided to work a half day and then was home to have lunch with me and Keaton. Afterwards he took Keaton with him and his dad to the deer-lease. Yes folks, I was left alone to do whatever I wanted! Ahhhh! It was so great to have a break! So I did some shopping with my mom and then met my friend, Jaimie, at Starbucks to chit chat and see the movie 17 Again which was really cute! Going to the movies is one of my absolute favorite things to do and once you have kids you just don't get the chance to go as much so anytime I get to go to the movies I'm super excited (being in great company helps too)!!

Saturday morning I slept until 9:15!! It was just fabulous to be able to lay in bed as long as I wanted! Then I took my little dog, Gizmo, on a walk , came home for a shower and actually blew my hair dry then headed out for a day of shopping. I went to Sams, Babies R Us, Motherhood Maternity, Old Navy, Carters, and Kroger. I also stopped off and looked at some more model homes. I found one I love but I don't know about the neighborhood so we'll see! Our house in CO hasn't sold so we can't do anything about it yet anyway.

I could continue to just ohhh and ahhh about how nice it was to have some time to myself! Of course I missed Keaton but you moms know how important "me time" is! You have to have it to rejuvenate and it makes you a better, well rested mom once your kids are back with you!

My Mothers Day was just as good as the rest of the weekend. We went to church and then had yummy Los Cucos with Kyle's parents. After lunch we snuggled and took a nap and once we all woke up we headed to Kyle's aunts house and had an amazing dinner with all his cousins who I love so much!! =) It was such a great time spent with family and Keaton had a blast playing with all his cousins! I hope all of you had a wonderful Mothers Day as well!! HAPPY LATE MOTHERS DAY!!!

Weird To Think...

that if I hadn't miscarried last September I would of had the baby by now! My due date was May 5th and due to the size kids my family delivers we're usually always induced early so who knows what the actual due date would have been but regardless, I would of had the baby by now. I still love that little angel and think about it often but believe me, I know it was all in God's hands! He has now blessed us with a healthy little boy or girl that we will meet this coming September so I'm not sitting here sad, it's just weird to think about! =)

On another note...who knew preschool was so competitive?? I decided to sign Keaton up for preschool twice a week next year at our church and they're full! He's number 33 on the waiting list! CRAZY! Apparently people started talking about it Nov 08 and then registered in February!! If we had been here we would of had first dibs since we're church members, but since we weren't we are now number 33 on the list so it doesn't look like we'll be getting in! I don't really care though. I'm a firm believer in what's meant to be will happen so if we get a call that there's a spot for him then great and it's in Gods plan for him to start school. If we don't get a spot then he just wasn't meant to start immediately and we'll just see if something opens up throughout the school year or just start when he's 3 instead! It will work out! =)
19 Weeks 4 Days
The pregnancy is going great! I'm feeling the baby move daily now and I LOVE it!! Kyle still hasn't gotten to feel it yet because of course it stops whenever he has his hands on my belly but I know it will happen soon enough! He didn't get to feel Keaton until I was 21 weeks so we have about a week or two until then. I'll be 20 weeks, HALF WAY, this Sat!!! So exciting!

What?? You Dont Belly Bump?

Last week we were asking Keaton where our baby is and he lifted up my shirt and pointed to my belly like he always does. I then continued to hold my shirt and he kissed my belly then started pulling up his shirt to show his belly. We laughed and said, "Yeah, that's your belly but there's no baby in there, only in mommy's belly!" and then I gave him a belly bump. He thought that was hilarious so we continued to bump our bellies for a while. Once the fun was over our days continued to go on as normal and I kinda forgot about the belly bumps until yesterday...

Keaton and I met our friend, Nanci, at a local Mexican restaurant and had a great lunch together! It was a beautiful day and we sat on the porch outside and watched Keaton play on the playground with the other kids. All of a sudden I see him with his shirt pulled up and he's bumping this kid with his belly and cracking up. The kid is looking at him like he's crazy and is stumped as to what he's supposed to do. Keaton walked around to multiple kids trying to get belly bumps from them and apparently nobody else teaches their kids how to belly bump, who would have thought?? =)
