Birthday, Baby, and Bachelorette!!

Birthday: Well on Tuesday, July 28th, I turned the big 27 years old! =) It's funny to think that the first birthday I spent with Kyle was when I turned 16, that's 11 years ago people!!! CRAZY!!

The day was a beautiful, hot one and I went to La Centerra with Keaton, my mom, and mother in law to shop around and then have lunch at Panera Bread. It was a lot of fun and then that evening we went to Los Cucos with our families. It's always great to all be together so I loved talking and laughing with everyone and I got some great gifts too!! From gift cards, to shoes, to books, to house decor, I love it all!! My hubby gave me my new Storksak diaper bag that I've been wanting and I just love it!!
I must say the best gift that I got was a flower Keaton had picked from outside and his version of "Happy Birthday". I've never heard him attempt to sing it so I was pretty impressed and it melted my heart! The first time he sang it, DeeDee (my mother in law) thought she was recording but she wasn't so this is when she asked him to do it a second (or was it third) time for the camera. Still just as cute but by this time he was a little distracted by his puzzle! =)

Next is an ecore version where he's looking right at the camera instead of at Mommy!
Thank you all so much for making my birthday special!!

I need to get all the birthday pics from DeeDee, this was the only one I took. She has the good ones with the sombrero and all that! =) I'll have to post those later! hehe!

Baby: The baby is doing great! I still can't get over how low this one is sitting compared to Keaton who was up in my chest, and how much this one moves! It's just crazy and so fun to sit and watch my stomach move all over the place! Last Tuesday, at the doctor, my belly was measuring a week ahead and everything looked great. I've been going to the doctor every 2 weeks and it will soon be every week!! I can't believe it! I'm so excited to find out if this will be a little boy or girl! My mind changes all the time! The baby is about 16 inches long now and weighs about 4 lbs. My wonderful friends, Jaimie and JoDee, gave me a baby shower on Sunday and it was so nice! It was wonderful to see so many friends and celebrate Baby C/Karter!! We got some great gifts that will really help us out once baby arrives!! Thanks so much to everyone, it meant a lot having you there!

Jaimie, Me, and JoDee...thanks ladies!!!

Bachelorette: OK so I was right...she picked Ed. I'm still not very fond of him but you could tell from many episodes ago that he was going to be the one she picked! They really seem to love eachother and you could totally see that a while back, I just tried to think positive that maybe, just maybe, the obvious one wouldn't be chosen. I still just love Ried! I love that he came back! I like how he puts his forehead on hers and just looks at her, and then when he hugs her he buries his head by her neck like he never wants to let go, you can tell he loves her and he's just so sweet! Ahhhh, I think I have a crush! =)

The Bachelorette and Other Stuff!

OK so I said in my last TV post how I was sad that Reid was gone and even hoped that MAYBE he would come back but then retracted that saying it was wishful thinking and too much drama. Apparently I had forgotten that this was reality TV we're talking about here and there's no such thing as "too much drama"! Did you happen to watch the previews for the season finale coming up on Monday??? Did you see who shows up with a ring?? REID!!!!! =) I'm so excited, my wish came true! hehe!! I would love for her to pick him but my prediction is going to be Ed...blah!! So I can't wait until Monday night to watch what happens! Ahhh, I love this show! =)

Keaton found one of my old dolls in the closet yesterday and started carrying it around saying it was his baby. It was the cutest thing and he was so good to it. He's going to be an amazing big brother! He rocked it in his arms and would say, "love!". When it was nap time he said, "baby sleep too!" and tucked it in and gave it a kiss goodnight. Then later he said it had a boo boo and gave it's boo boo a kiss. It was just too cute to watch and I think it will be great for him to pretend with his baby while mommy holds her new baby! I don't look at this as if my son is playing with dolls, oh no...my son is practicing to be a big brother! Plus the doll is a boy so it's not too bad! =)

The Lake and The Potty

Yes the lake is a potty to some but that's not what I'm discussing here, this is 2 different topics folks! =)

First, this weekend we went to Canyon Lake and I just love that lake! The water is clear and the whole lake is so beautiful! It was a great weekend spent with our family and the kids had a blast! Keaton loved riding in the boat and once we stopped to swim for a while he was nervous to jump in. He kept saying, "No, boat ride!". Finally we threw him in the water and then he was so happy and swam forever! We went through this on the tube too! Daddy was going to take him tubing and he just wanted to stay on the boat but once he finally got on the tube, he had a great time with daddy!! I was in the back of the boat watching and taking pictures and Keaton would wave and blow me kisses from the tube! Melt my heart! =)
My Little Stud Muffin!

He's in that tube, I promise!

On Sunday once we were back home I was changing his diaper and as I was putting on the clean one he said, "No, deuce!". I said, "OK, let's go to the potty!". He jumped up giggling and excitedly ran to the bathroom. When I got there he was laughing and jumping up and down in front of the toilet. I put him on it and sure enough the kid pooped! I called downstairs and Daddy and Mo came up to see his deuce! =) We were all clapping and he had the biggest smile on his face and thought the attention was so cool! I had really planned on postponing potty training because I've heard boys take a long time to potty train and usually aren't until they're 3 but he seems interested and started all of this on his own so we'll just go with it! I'm well aware he could do great for a while and then completely give up but we'll see!

Yesterday I bought him a frog potty and he was so thrilled to sit on it. He just sits on it and tries and tries to do something even if he obviously doesn't have to! I never told him it was a frog, I just said it was his potty and the first time he sat on it he looked between his legs, then looked up at me and said, "Frog!". I said, "Yeah! Good job, that's a frog!". Then he looked at me again and said, "Ribbit!". We both just started laughing, it was so cute! This little guy entertains me everyday! I love Mommyhood! =)

The Bachelor/Bachelorette

Let me just start by saying, I LOVE this show! I DVR it every Monday and just got to watch this weeks episode today...I have really enjoyed this season and have said from the beginning that Kiptyn would be one of the last 2 and I was right! I'm not as excited about that as I thought I would be though. I REALLY liked Reid and was so sad to see him go! They were just so cute together and I just really liked him the best! You could tell he was so genuine and really liked her, I'm sad just thinking about it.

I'm not sure what she sees in Ed! She always talks about how sexy he is and I just don't see it! I was not a fan of those short shorts he was sporting on their date in Hawaii, I mean seriously! He does seem nice but I dont know, there's just something about him that's weird to me. I hope she picks Kiptyn over Ed but wouldn't it be great if she brought Reid back?! Too much drama? Yeah, you're probably right! OK I'll accept it, Reid is gone...*tear*.

Busy, Busy, Busy

We have been very busy around here but we're enjoying it! It's amazing how much our schedule has changed since returning back home! We never had any plans in CO unless it was renting a movie or making big plans to go camp or ski but our social calendars were pretty bleak. Not anymore and we couldn't be happier to be here for these amazing times with friends and family!

Thursday Kyle and I celebrated our 5th Anniversary and had a great time together! We went to a delicious dinner and then went to La Centera where they had a jazz band playing as we enjoyed our Cold Stone ice cream! YUM! I got cake batter ice cream and it is some of the best stuff I've ever put in my mouth! =) I love my hubby so much and we had a great time!

Friday we went to our friends Justin and Ashley's rehearsal/rehearsal dinner. It was so good to see them and other friends and we're so excited for them and their new lives together!

On Saturday the 3 of us went to see our friends, Kendall and Alex's son Harrison get baptised. It was a beautiful ceremony and we're so happy for baby Harrison to be surrounded by Christians that love him and will help him grow in faith!

The wedding was beautiful that night! I loved Ashely's hair, dress, and can I say that her cake was the most stunning wedding cake I've ever seen! =) It was all beautiful and we just couldn't be happier for our friends who are now husband and wife!

Doesn't do it justice but it was gorgeous!

These boys are hilarious when they get together, love them all!

Julie, Me, Nanci, and Cari

Us with Chris and Holly

Keaton had a weekend full of firsts...while we were at the wedding he had his first slumber party with his cousins, Breyton and Brody! Brody is still a little to young to partake but the other 2 boys popped popcorn and watched Bolt, then slept on a pallet on the floor together. They had a blast and already can't wait to do it again! Sunday was a really exciting day for me because we took Keaton to the movie theatre for the very first time! We brought Breyton along with us and they both loved it! Keaton was amazed by the size of the screen and the loud noise. I was such a dorky mom and took pictures of everything from standing in line for refreshments, sitting in the seats, to the movie sign! =) When we first walked in the theatre the previews had already started and you heard Keaton say, "Wow, cool man!". It was too cute! We had a wonderful family outing and I can't wait to take him to see Toy Story 3 in October! =) Oh and that is a Miller hat you will see my 2 year old wearing, courtesy of Uncle Cody (yeah, thanks for that!). Keaton LOVES hats right now and since Breyton wore his hat Keaton had to have one too. Of course that was the only hat they had left and once it was on it wasn't coming off! =)

This picture cracks me up (even though the right side is blurry!)! Keaton is just in a trance and couldn't even get the popcorn. And no, I didn't take pics throughout the movie, these were just during previews! =)

Afterwards with candy all over his shirt!

Cousins!

So I don't bore you too much in one post, I'll save pregnancy updates for another time but I will say that everything is looking good and little C/Karter is moving CONSTANTLY!!! Love it! =)

5 Year Anniversary!

***UPDATE: OK let me clarify something...When I posted this I really did think that it was July 10th already and that it really was my anniversary. I have a good excuse, I promise! See tomorrow is our actual anniversary but Kyle is in one of our friends weddings so we have rehearsal and rehearsal dinner that evening and then the wedding Saturday night. So our anniversary is pretty booked! Because of that we've been planning for months to celebrate today, Thursday! So that is why my dear friends I posted this today thinking it really was my anniversary because in my head it is since today is when we're celebrating. Make sense? =) ***

5 years ago today I walked down the isle and said, "I do" to my hubby! These 5 years have been amazing and I'm even more in love with Kyle today! It's so funny how you have no idea what the future brings! While we were engaged we started building a house in Pearland that we thought we'd live in for about 5 years, hahahaha! We all know that didn't happen! We lived in Pearland for a year and once Kyle got a new job we decided to move back home to K-town. We built a house here that we figured we'd live in for about 10 years or so but only lived there for 2 1/2 years before we sold it and left for Colorado! Then we figured we'd be in Colorado for 2 years but again we were wrong and after a year we're back home! The Lord is amazing and you just never know what he has in store for you! We've made so many amazing memories in each home and I wouldn't change any of it! Now I am very excited to see what God has in store for us next! When will our CO house sell and where will our next home be? It's very exciting!

I always wondered if we would have boys or girls and now we have a beautiful little boy who means everything to us with another surprise on the way! We are so blessed and I am so thankful! Each experience has made Kyle and I closer and I love him so much! He's the first person I want to talk to whether it be to share some happy, exciting news or talk about something that has made me upset. He's my best friend, a loving husband and amazing father! Happy Anniversary Baby!!!! MUAH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Our Wedding Day! July 10, 2004
One Year Anniversary at the Aquarium in Kemah.
2 Year Anniversary: we headed to Skyline at the downtown Hilton.
3 Year Anniversary: we went to Rainbow Lodge for dinner.
4 Year Anniversary @ Christinas in Durango, CO.

5 Year Anniversary pics will be my next post! We don't have any huge plans but I always love a dinner date with my baby! He told me he actually started planning last year to take me to NY as a surprise for our 5 year because that's the one city I really want to visit but then I got knocked up and baby budget went into full force so NY will have to wait for another year! Plus he figured I wouldn't want to be preggo when I do finally get to NY which is so true! =)
