6 Year Wedding Anniversary

I love my hubby so much!

You know that Brad Paisley song, "I Thought I Loved You Then"? I love that song because that's exactly how I feel. I thought I was in love in High School (which I was but you get the point!) and then we went to college and fell more in love, then we got married and I thought I loved him more than ever, but then as the years have gone by and we've had babies together I've fallen even MORE in love with my hubby when I didn't even know I could!

This year was our 6 year anniversary and my hubby had been telling me for months we were going away for the weekend. A weekend away together...I couldn't wait!!! I had no idea where we were going but I was excited. About a week or two before our anniversary Kyle said there had been some changes in the plans but we were still getting away, just somewhere different. Turns out he had made reservations at La Villa Vista on Lake Travis but they called him and said due to all the rain the side of their building had fallen down with erosion or something so they were closed for construction. RANDOM!! Ha! But it was a blessing in disguise because he then made reservations at Hyatt Regency Lost Pines Resort and Spa and it was AMAZING!!

We arrived Friday, July 9th, just in time to check into our room and get changed for our dinner reservations. We ordered wine, a delicious appetizer and filet mignon for dinner. It was delicious and such a romantic dinner! Then we went to the bar and had a couple drinks together before bed. I slept so good knowing I could actually sleep in the next morning since there weren't kids to wake me up! =)

The next morning was our actual anniversary...July 10!!! =) After I got dressed he gave me a shipping package that I opened and discovered 2 of those famous blue/green boxes. You know the ones...Tiffany's! Of course I was excited as I opened the first of the two boxes. It was a "Return to Tiffany" heart charm just like the one on my necklace he had given me for our 3 year anniversary.

I looked at him and said, "Hummm, what could this heart go to since I already have the necklace and bracelet?"

His face immediately looked confused as I opened the second box and pulled out a bracelet that the charm was to go on. He then said, "When did you get the bracelet?" I couldn't remember where or when he had previously given it to me but we were cracking up because I knew I already had the gift! He said he'd believe it when he saw it.

So sure enough we get home and I show him the bracelet and after some detective work looking at pictures we figured out he gave it to me during our Colorado Christmas in 2008. Haha, sad neither of us could remember I know! So now the good news is I get to go to Tiffany's in person and exchange it for something fab...can't wait! =)

Then we went to a delicious breakfast where I was told the entire menu could be made gluten free!!! WHAT??? That's awesome! After yummy waffles and french toast we rented some bikes and rode around to check out the entire place.

Then we headed to the pool for some relaxation before our hour long couples massage!

Don't we look relaxed! I think Kyle might actually be sleeping! =)

After our massages we went back to the pool and laid out, swam, floated in the lazy river, and read for the entire afternoon. We also sat by the pool and ate yummy nachos and Parmesan french fries. If you've never had Parmesan fries I highly recommend you try them! =)

Our last evening. =(

On Sunday we ate another delicious breakfast before hitting the road to come home. As always I was so excited to see the kids! That place was actually an amazing place to bring kids! I hope to go back with our family or friends and all the kids because it would be such a fun time with them!

We had such an amazing time together, thanks for my surprise Kyle, I love you always and forever!

Busy, Busy, Busy

We have been very busy around here but we're enjoying it! It's amazing how much our schedule has changed since returning back home! We never had any plans in CO unless it was renting a movie or making big plans to go camp or ski but our social calendars were pretty bleak. Not anymore and we couldn't be happier to be here for these amazing times with friends and family!

Thursday Kyle and I celebrated our 5th Anniversary and had a great time together! We went to a delicious dinner and then went to La Centera where they had a jazz band playing as we enjoyed our Cold Stone ice cream! YUM! I got cake batter ice cream and it is some of the best stuff I've ever put in my mouth! =) I love my hubby so much and we had a great time!

Friday we went to our friends Justin and Ashley's rehearsal/rehearsal dinner. It was so good to see them and other friends and we're so excited for them and their new lives together!

On Saturday the 3 of us went to see our friends, Kendall and Alex's son Harrison get baptised. It was a beautiful ceremony and we're so happy for baby Harrison to be surrounded by Christians that love him and will help him grow in faith!

The wedding was beautiful that night! I loved Ashely's hair, dress, and can I say that her cake was the most stunning wedding cake I've ever seen! =) It was all beautiful and we just couldn't be happier for our friends who are now husband and wife!

Doesn't do it justice but it was gorgeous!

These boys are hilarious when they get together, love them all!

Julie, Me, Nanci, and Cari

Us with Chris and Holly

Keaton had a weekend full of firsts...while we were at the wedding he had his first slumber party with his cousins, Breyton and Brody! Brody is still a little to young to partake but the other 2 boys popped popcorn and watched Bolt, then slept on a pallet on the floor together. They had a blast and already can't wait to do it again! Sunday was a really exciting day for me because we took Keaton to the movie theatre for the very first time! We brought Breyton along with us and they both loved it! Keaton was amazed by the size of the screen and the loud noise. I was such a dorky mom and took pictures of everything from standing in line for refreshments, sitting in the seats, to the movie sign! =) When we first walked in the theatre the previews had already started and you heard Keaton say, "Wow, cool man!". It was too cute! We had a wonderful family outing and I can't wait to take him to see Toy Story 3 in October! =) Oh and that is a Miller hat you will see my 2 year old wearing, courtesy of Uncle Cody (yeah, thanks for that!). Keaton LOVES hats right now and since Breyton wore his hat Keaton had to have one too. Of course that was the only hat they had left and once it was on it wasn't coming off! =)

This picture cracks me up (even though the right side is blurry!)! Keaton is just in a trance and couldn't even get the popcorn. And no, I didn't take pics throughout the movie, these were just during previews! =)

Afterwards with candy all over his shirt!

Cousins!

So I don't bore you too much in one post, I'll save pregnancy updates for another time but I will say that everything is looking good and little C/Karter is moving CONSTANTLY!!! Love it! =)

5 Year Anniversary!

***UPDATE: OK let me clarify something...When I posted this I really did think that it was July 10th already and that it really was my anniversary. I have a good excuse, I promise! See tomorrow is our actual anniversary but Kyle is in one of our friends weddings so we have rehearsal and rehearsal dinner that evening and then the wedding Saturday night. So our anniversary is pretty booked! Because of that we've been planning for months to celebrate today, Thursday! So that is why my dear friends I posted this today thinking it really was my anniversary because in my head it is since today is when we're celebrating. Make sense? =) ***

5 years ago today I walked down the isle and said, "I do" to my hubby! These 5 years have been amazing and I'm even more in love with Kyle today! It's so funny how you have no idea what the future brings! While we were engaged we started building a house in Pearland that we thought we'd live in for about 5 years, hahahaha! We all know that didn't happen! We lived in Pearland for a year and once Kyle got a new job we decided to move back home to K-town. We built a house here that we figured we'd live in for about 10 years or so but only lived there for 2 1/2 years before we sold it and left for Colorado! Then we figured we'd be in Colorado for 2 years but again we were wrong and after a year we're back home! The Lord is amazing and you just never know what he has in store for you! We've made so many amazing memories in each home and I wouldn't change any of it! Now I am very excited to see what God has in store for us next! When will our CO house sell and where will our next home be? It's very exciting!

I always wondered if we would have boys or girls and now we have a beautiful little boy who means everything to us with another surprise on the way! We are so blessed and I am so thankful! Each experience has made Kyle and I closer and I love him so much! He's the first person I want to talk to whether it be to share some happy, exciting news or talk about something that has made me upset. He's my best friend, a loving husband and amazing father! Happy Anniversary Baby!!!! MUAH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Our Wedding Day! July 10, 2004
One Year Anniversary at the Aquarium in Kemah.
2 Year Anniversary: we headed to Skyline at the downtown Hilton.
3 Year Anniversary: we went to Rainbow Lodge for dinner.
4 Year Anniversary @ Christinas in Durango, CO.

5 Year Anniversary pics will be my next post! We don't have any huge plans but I always love a dinner date with my baby! He told me he actually started planning last year to take me to NY as a surprise for our 5 year because that's the one city I really want to visit but then I got knocked up and baby budget went into full force so NY will have to wait for another year! Plus he figured I wouldn't want to be preggo when I do finally get to NY which is so true! =)
